Astro blog templates

Three complete publishing sites, built in Astro 7 and Tailwind 4 — an independent writer’s publication with series and paid membership, a travel blog that sells its own guides, and a travel magazine with features and hotel reviews. Each is a finished site with real articles in it, not a post list and an empty layout.

Every publication shown is invented and the demos are the templates themselves, running. You buy the source through private GitHub access, write in Markdown, and deploy it anywhere static. One licence covers unlimited sites, your own or a client's. $49 each, or all 65 templates for $199.

The 3 builds

Each is loud in exactly one channel — display type, palette, a moving set-piece, texture or the imagery — and deliberately quiet in the other three. That rule is what stops a set like this reading as one layout in different paint. Click any of them to read the build in full and open the live demo.

What blog sites have to carry

Every build in this set ships all of it. It is the difference between a template that looks finished and one that is.

01 Posts you write in Markdown, not in a CMS
Every article is one file in a content collection, with its photos, dates and taxonomy in the frontmatter. Add a file and it is published; there is no database and no admin to keep patched.
02 An archive a reader can actually use
Series and topic filters, a destination finder by region, month and budget, a split between features and reviews. A blog past twenty posts is only as good as the way back into the old ones, and all three build that route rather than a paginated list.
03 A reading layout, not a card grid
A drop cap and margin pull quotes, italic standfirsts set at display size, a costed guide with its budget calculator beside the text. The article page is where a reader spends their time, so it gets the typographic care a landing page usually gets.
04 A way to earn from it
Membership tiers ready for Stripe, Ghost or Memberful; a guide shop and an affiliate gear list with its disclosure. Each is wired to a link you paste in and tied to no platform; the magazine leaves the business model to you.
05 Finished writing to replace
Sixteen essays, six costed destination guides, magazine features and hotel reviews. You see how the layout holds real length before you write a word, and the demo content is a working style guide while you replace it.

What every build includes

Questions

Why an Astro blog instead of WordPress or Ghost?

Static output: the site is plain files on a CDN, so there is nothing to update, nothing to hack and nothing to pay for monthly. You write in Markdown in your own editor and keep the repository forever. If you need paid membership, the publication build links out to Stripe, Ghost or Memberful for the payments and keeps the reading on your own site.

Which one is for a personal blog?

The writing journal (VERSAL). It is built for one author: series, topics, a reading shelf, a colophon and membership tiers you can switch off. The travel blog is for a niche blog that earns from guides and affiliate links; the magazine is for a small team publishing features.

Can I add a CMS later?

Yes. Posts are standard Astro content collections, so any Git-based CMS that writes Markdown (Decap, TinaCMS, Keystatic) can sit on top without changing the templates.

Is there a newsletter?

The travel blog has a sign-up in the footer of every page and the publication build has membership tiers. Both post to whichever provider you point them at; none of the three ships a mailing service of its own.

Can I use one template for several client sites?

Yes. The licence is per buyer, not per project — build as many sites as you like, for yourself or for clients. You may not resell the source itself as a template or starter kit.
